Interview with Tillmann O. 1. How long have you been a punk? - Iīm wearing those clothes for circa 3 years. 2. Why are you a punk? - look at point 3 3. What is typical for a punk? - Itīs a provocation and perhaps a kind of protest against the normal (but, whats normal?) and off course to have fun.
4. Is it only a trend? - For most people it is a trend now. They did not know, what punk is. 5. What are the prejudices against punks? - alcoholics, left-extreme, thugs and living on the street 6. What were reactions of your parents and friends? - Most of the people in my surrounding know, that Iīm really friendly, but sometimes itīs really funny, when people are looking at me in the town-centre.
7. What kind of bands do you listen as a punk? - Zaunpfahl, Slime, Wizo, Fahnenflucht, Sex Pistols, Dritte Wahl, Rawside, Toxic Walls, Exploited and Cotzraiz 8. What is the typical look of a punk? - There are some typical clothes, although punk is an attitude. Many punks wear boots, leather-jackets, sometimes ald army-clothes and so on. Itīs very particular. 9.
When was the beginning of the punk-movement? - It must be the end of the 60īs. 10. Do you only have punks as friends? - Scarcly, some people indeed listen to punk-music, but the music doesnīs make a punk. History The beginning of the modern punk was in the late 60īs of the 20th century. Groups of this time were "The Stooges", "MC5", "The Sonics", "Velvet Underground", "Sex Pistols" and "God save the Queen". Punk was the raction of the hippie-movement.
It was against the idealism and the view of the hippies. Instead, the punks put on the refusal and were against hopeful future expectation. Bodyjewelly Piercingjewelly is more popular in the punkscene than in the youth-movement. In 1980 punks wear safety pins as jewellery. Tattoos are often, too. Hairstyle Punks have flashy hairstyles.
The most popular is the so-called "Mohawk". Often the hair is dazzlind coloured, too. Clothes · Boots like Doc Martens or sneakers like Chucks. · tight trousers like jeans or coloured bondage-trousers with lot of zippers and pieces of material lines, wearing together with a kind of a kilt · belt with studs or chains · leather-jackets (together with studs, safety pins, slogans and buttons) or bomber jackets. · Bracelets and necklaces with studs, boot-lines and chains as accessoires Punkclothes are often, tore, painted, inscribed or changed in other ways. Altogether 1968 the hippie-movement was the starting point of the punk-movement.
Punk is formed of sozialism, kommunism and anarchism. The beginning of the english-punk can not be compared with the american-punk. Education and work are not a basic of the punk-movement. Most of the punks are teenagers, because they acquite a taste for the new clothes and the music. London is the beginning-centre of punk. Principies are: "Donīt believe anyone", "Be yourself" and "Be questionable against stars".
First punkbands came from the USA. A lot of punk-directions like "Skapunk", "Funpunk", "Skatepunk", but the most popular was the "New Wave". In the middle of the 80īs a hardcore-movement began. Punk shows criticism by musik, clothes or definite slogans. Punk is against the norm. Their way of life is anarchy (life without laws) and chaos.
Punks often take drugs and drink alcohol. Most of them were still punks after the first onrush, because it was a trend. In the beginning of the punk-movement, punks were rather young, but now most of them are older, Some singer out off some punkbands for example are older than 60 years.
