My favourite singer is Pink. I think some time ago most of you didn\'t know her, but since she sang the song \"Lady Marmalade\" with Christina Aguilera, Mya, Li\'ll Kim and Miss Elliot, most of you just could see her in the video.
Pink\'s real name is Alicia Moore. Her birthday is on September the 8th 1979. She grew up in Philadelphia, USA with her parents, her brother and her stepsister. Very early she began to write her own songs and most of them were about growing up in Philadelphia. As a teenager, Pink sang in a rap group as a background singer, worked as a dancer and at last she was in a girl group, too. But she didn\'t like this group

So she started her own career as a solo singer.
I think one of her most successful songs is \'You make me sick\' but I don\'t think that lots of you know it. My favourite song from her album \'Try this\' is called: \'God is a DJ\'
I think the lyrics are more important than rhythm and melody in her songs. I also think Pink hasn\'t got the best voice, but I like her lyrics much. They mean a lot and I think just when you're down because you have trouble or something else, you can sit down and listen to one of her songs and you'll feel better. Because I think they can help and can give you a little bit self-confidence. In the song do what you do she sang:
I say do what you do
Say what you say
Mean what you mean when you say
Cuz it's your life, gotta make your own rules
And you gotta do it your way
I say do what you do
Say what you say
Mean what you mean when you say
Cuz it's your life, gotta make your own rules
And you gotta do it your way
Of course not all of her lyrics are the best, but when you listen to the right song in the right situation it can help a lot. At last I want to say that I think most of all I like her so because of her pink hair! |
