Humphrey DeForest Bogart My assignment is about a great actor of the Fifties. His name was Humphrey DeForest Bogart. He was born in New York on December 23, 1899. Right after his birth, his mother drew a portrait of him for an advertising Campagne. So he became famous when still being a little child. After 8 Years on the Trinity Eltie school in New York, he had very bad marks and stayed away often.
After that, he attended the Phillips Acadamy in Andover, but there he did not behave very well and when he still did not try to show a better behaviour he was suspended from school. In 1918, six weeks after he left school, he joined the marine. By coincidence, he found his right job. At first, he worked as a messenger. Then, as a stocks seller on the Wall Street at his father's. Then, he accepted a new job which he was offered by an old classmate.
This friend wrote scripts for theatre. He employed Humphrey as a guy for all easy things to do. Then, he became an assistant, and then the producer's manager. In 1920, Bogart went on tour with "A Ruined Lady" for about six months. The young main actor became ill. Humphrey got the role of the main actor.
In 1930, he signed his first contract. At the age of 31, he completed his first performance in the short film "Broadways like that". The progress came in 1936 with "The Petrified Forest". This film made a contract with Warners possible for him. He appeared in 28 movies from 1936 to 1940. In 1941, he produced the movie "Conclusion in Sierra" and "The trail of Falcon".

In 1946, the movie "Dead people sleep strong" and, in 1948, "Gangster in Key Largo" were produced. The movie "Bogey" has received many awards, an Oscar for "African Queen" and one Oscar nomination for "Casablanca" and "The Caine's destiny".

Most of the people, he acted as, had the same character. Bogart had been married four times, at last with Lauren Bacall who had two children with him. He has died on January 14, 1957, in Hollywood.
