Sydney First I'd like to say few words about Sydney. Sydney is the largest and the oldest city of the continent Australia. It was created in 1788, 4mio out of 18mio Australians live in Sydney. When I start talking about tourist attractions, I will of course begin with the most recognisable icon and the most famous tourist attraction of Sydney namely: The Sydney Opera House The Sydney Opera House is the busiest performing arts centre in the world. Every year a reason for millions of tourists to visit this city. It was opened in 1973 and was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon.
The Opera House is in fact not a real Opera House, which means that you can go and watch all kinds of performances there, for example drama, dance, concerts, cinema and also exhibitions and conferences. Some visitors are a bit disappointed by the inside of the building, but you can also have a great day without going into it. For example you can sit in one of the outside cafe´s or restaurants and enjoy the wonderful view over the Harbour Bridge. Another Tourist attraction besides the Opera House is the Harbour Bridge, from where the fireworks are lit every New Year's. Sydney is very famous for their Harbour Bridge from the year 1932 , after six years of construction. The Harbour Bridge connects of Sydney both districts with each other.
It is found in the Guinness-book of records. 60 000 tons of steel, held together by 6 million screws. Eight lines for cars, run over the bridge. The HarbourBridge is 1.149 meters long and 49 meters wide. If you like you can climb over the bridge.
Today, thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors to Sydney, climb over the Harbour Bridge. Thank you for listening
